Where have all our deer gone?
Did anyone get a chance to read the latest OHA- Oregon Hunter magazine? The question that many have been asking for a decade was presented in the latest edition. Is it predators, and if so, human poachers or animals? Habitat loss? Talks of seeing 100’s in pastures no longer exists. Commonly hunters who put in the time and efforts often say the these deer still exist, but never do they acknowledge in healthy numbers. The article speaks of the Mule Deer Initiative started by ODFW, and if Salem will consider extending its life support status.
